EMT, a member of Yalova Ro-Ro Terminals AS group, was established in the year 2010 by Francesco Parisi and operates on Pier VI in the port of Trieste with a 25 years concession (2012-2034).

Pier VI is located in the centre of the Port of Trieste and its main features are 80.000 sqm total area, 1500 m berths, one RO-RO berth, draft 29′ to 33′, four rail tracks and one 9000 sqm warehouse.

EMT employs 62 members of staff and is equipped with 5 Reachstackers with piggy- back, 10 ro-ro tractors and over 20 forks lifts.

The main activities involve in the service line of RO-RO vessels that leave from Pier VI of Trieste going to Istanbul Yalova Port.

With regards to the intermodal rail connections, intermodal trains depart from Pier VI for;

  • → Ludwigshafen (DE)
  • → Karlsruhe (DE)
  • → Munich (DE)
  • → Ostrava (CZ)
  • → Wels (Aus)
  • → Zebrugge (BE)

History

Operated since 1994 by Francesco Parisi Casa di Spedizioni S.p.A. and since 1998 operating as ro-ro terminal in Turkey-Trieste ro-ro liner services.

In Summer 2010 25 years concession (2010 > 2034) granted.

In October 2010 Europe Multipurpose Terminals (EMT) S.r.l. established.

As of 1st Jan 2011 the Pier VI Terminal operation has been transferred to and is run by EMT.

In December 2016 Yalova RoRo Terminals AS. Has become the majority share holder.
